Shell Core

Home   Shell core is a hot box process. Typically, a cast iron box is heated. Plastic resin coated sand is injected into the box. The heat fuses the sand grains creating a shell. The longer the cure, the thicker the shell. This is a good, economical option for medium to long run castings.
