ANGULARITY, PARALLELISM
AND PERPENDICULARITY
The angularity (including parallelism and perpendicularity) tolerance is the total deviation between two planes within which the entire surface so toleranced must lie. The planes of deviation (tolerance zone) forms the basic angle to the datum plane. Tolerances are for draft free surfaces (see Draft standard). To establish planes see Flatness standard. ANGULARITY Angularity refers to the angular departure from the designed relationship between the elements of a casting. The angularity of cored holes may vary as a result of distortion and wear of core boxes. (Cored holes must conform to the diameter-to-depth ratios of the Holes and Pockets standard.) Up to 3 in. depth .030 Additonal depth over 3 in. .007 in./in. |
